Pretty handy. However, even with Android, I would like to just swipe across the text to quote.

Quoting news is still too cumbersome. For this reason, the developers are now bringing a new feature to simplify the WhatsApp citation function. The current WhatsApp beta for Android provides a preview of the new feature.

Quoting messages is pretty handy. This is often useful in larger groups when you want to reply directly to a message. Now quoting should be even easier and faster. In the future, it should be enough to mark a speech bubble and start typing - the quote will be inserted. Pretty handy.

As convenient as WhatsApp for iOS

With iOS there has already been a change in the citation function in the past few weeks. To reply to a previous text, simply swipe over the message. It is not yet known whether this shortcut will also appear for Android.

The simple citation function is currently only available in the latest beta for WhatsApp (2.17.316). To act as a tester, you have to be Sign up for preview versions in the Google Play Store. So you always get the latest features and changes before everyone else - but possibly unstable. We from TechnikNews have already received the latest version from the store and were able to disable the functionprobeer Simply mark the speech bubble and start typing, and the quote will be inserted.
