Xiaomi: Manufacturer shows concept smartphone with quad waterfall display
The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi showed today Twitter a new concept smartphone, which has some special features.
The display is strongly curved on all four sides, so that one can speak of a quad waterfall design here. But that's no comparison to Huawei P40 Pro+ or Xiaomi Mi 11, in which all four sides are only very slightly curved.
Due to the display construction, this concept smartphone has no physical controls and no connections, i.e. it can only be charged wirelessly. The volume can be controlled via sensors under the panel. Furthermore, regular SIM cards cannot be used. Instead, a built-in eSIM is used. As if all of this wasn't impressive enough, the front camera is also hidden under the display, similar to the one on the ZTE Axon 20 5G. Unfortunately, further information is not available at the moment and it remains to be seen whether and when this technology will be ready for the mass market.
a pure "control cluster" so to speak, I am thrilled!
