"Your Phone": Microsoft tests screen mirroring feature

At an event in October, Microsoft showed the "Your Phone" app, which was later to come with a screen mirroring feature. From now on, this will be combined with participants in the InsiderProgram tested.

So far, the “Your Phone” app can do very little. Only viewing photos and SMS is possible. Now a feature is to follow that allows the screen content of the Android smartphone to be mirrored on the Windows 10 PC. The connection to the phone is established wirelessly via Bluetooth. That means you need a computer in which such a chip has been built.

How exactly does it work?

Unfortunately, this can only be done with Samsung models so farprobeers, the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are currently supported. Microsoft will expand this over time. You also need the current (insider) versions of Windows 10 and the "Your Phone" app. As just described above, the connection is then established via Bluetooth so that the smartphone can be controlled via the PC.
