The Divoom Pixoo 64 is a WLAN pixel display that combines a wide variety of functions. TechnikNews took a closer look at the Pixoo 64.

Design and workmanship
The Pixoo 64 is kept simple in design. The frame is made of plastic and will only be on sale in a black version. The workmanship is okay, the material doesn't look cheap. The scope of delivery includes a 2-meter USB-C cable with which the Pixoo 64 is operated. No other USB-C cable worked in my test, so the manufacturer's cable is mandatory.
Divoom Pixoo 64 display
The display itself has a resolution of 64 x 64 pixels. The maximum brightness is 80 @ 400K and can therefore also shine well in bright rooms. The display covers the entire RGB color space and shows it pleasantly. This “pixel style” has to please the customer, otherwise you will be disappointed. The display is specially designed for this "niche", but thus maintains its own style. As an “eye-catcher”, it attracted a lot of interest in the circle of friends and was well received.
Features
In my introduction I already mentioned that the Pixo 64 is an "All-In-One" pixel display. What do i mean by that? Well, the Pixoo can perform a wide variety of tasks in different areas. For influencers / streamers / bloggers it can clearly display the number of followers, until now I was only aware of the "LaMetric Time", which could do this. This also costs a lot more and is a lot smaller. For some others, the Pixoo 64 is a pixel picture frame or a clock. Gamers can look forward to live tracking of Fortnite statistics or League of Legends. As you can see, the possibilities are great, but also tailored to a niche. I will now go through the points step by step.
Tracking ad
Which social media accounts can be tracked? YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Divoom and the Chinese platforms "DouYu and Bilibili" are currently supported. The user name must be entered in the "Watchfaces" settings and the current numbers are then retrieved. There is also an "Overview" with multiple accounts, but the images cannot be customized. Colors, texts or times are therefore fixed. That worked quite well for me review, only YouTube had a few at first Protrouble with the search function. Since the software is still "pre-release" I let it go.
Those who are more in the finance or gaming scene will also find what they are looking for. Bitcoin, the stock exchange and currencies can be tracked in this way. In the gaming area, Overwatch, League of Legends, Apex Legends and Fortnite are currently supported. Levels and other statistics can then be displayed in the settings. In my test, I did this with my Overwatch accountprobet, with success. The features are very nice for me as a media worker, but rather uninteresting for many others. In the future, Alexa, IFTTT and others will also be supported.
Divoom Pixoo 64 app
The “Divoom” app is available for Android and iOS. This is where the Pixoo 64 is set up and the settings made. Unfortunately the Pixoo 64 does not have a remote control, which would have made switching on / off easier (if the frame is in a higher position).
The app could be overwhelming at first, but after a few minutes of getting used to it, it is easier to find your way around. The app can be used to search for pixel images from the community, which are also classified in categories. Other functions such as a display board, organizer or stop watch can be set in the app.
Conclusion
The Divoom Pixoo 64 is a good pixel display for a good price. The display costs in the current kickstart campaign (which has long been reached) is the equivalent of 100 euros. The display is especially ideal for streamers, bloggers or people who love pixel art. It is also primarily an alternative to LaMetric Time, which costs 100 euros more. However, the Pixoo does not have a built-in loudspeaker, this would be an improvement request for the next version. For everyone who doesn't fit into the niche / target group, the Pixoo-64 seems to be an expensive gadget.
