Dr. Mario World: New smartphone game from Nintendo review
Finally can you dr. Mario World from Nintendoprobeer I took a closer look at Nintendo's new smartphone title.
Nintendo offers Dr. Mario World via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The app can be downloaded for free in both stores. There are in-app purchases for gems in the game. I will explain exactly what these can do later. In contrast to Super Mario Run, no amount is due in the course of the game in order to be able to advance. As a reminder: In the game mentioned, Nintendo requires 10 euros after the first four levels in order to advance in the game.
Levels and characters
In Dr. Mario World built Nintendo different worlds and many different levels, each of which can be completed with three stars. Although only the first 60 levels are visible at the moment, I can already see that it goes much further afterwards. So you should definitely be busy here for a few weeks and months. You need hearts to play a level. You can get this by waiting 30 minutes or by giving out jewels. These gems are the in-app purchases mentioned above. The whole concept is very similar to the Candy Crush range.
There is a team of your choice for walking through the levels, consisting of a total of three characters, including doctors and assistants. These are gradually unlocked as the game progresses. Various characters have played in Dr. Mario World different skills. I couldn't figure out how the assistants come into play, however. Either this is actually not immediately apparent or I just haven't discovered it yet.
Gameplay
If the desired character is selected and at least one life is available, a level can start. You can now see a kind of grid with some obstacles (blocks that you already know from other Mario games) and colorful little creatures. These are viruses that need to be fought. You can do this by placing a capsule of the same color next to the virus. There must be at least a row of three for the virus and capsules to disappear. It is also important to mention that pro level has a certain number of capsules available. Candy Crush says hello again.
However, the goal is not necessarily to eliminate the bad viruses. In some levels you also have to find the hidden purple coins. In other levels, however, the level always moves up, there the goal is that all viruses are defeated and no capsule or virus arrives at the bottom. It may be that you need several attempts for these levels, not just one, as my friend was able to experience firsthand. I personally think that the game is not too easy, but not too difficult either.
Multiplayer mode
Nintendo also went there and implemented a multiplayer mode. Here you either play against your own friends or against randomly chosen people with similar skills. Each player uses capsules to destroy the viruses on his playing field, which loads an attack display. If this is full, the opponent gets more viruses, which he then has to defeat again. Whoever gets the virus at the bottom of the playing field first loses.
Dr. Mario World: Conclusion
dr Mario World is a successful game, with which one or the other minute will certainly fly by. The game is beautifully designed and the individual levels are not too easy, but not too difficult either. Although I find that the game is a little bit like Candy Crush in some places, it didn't bother me because Nintendo repackaged the basic concept and improved it in its own way. I recommend everyone to check out the game when they get a chanceprobeer Plus it's free, so what could go wrong?
