Fitbit Ionic (Adidas Edition) review: My first impression
You have been able to buy the Fitbit Ionic for almost a year, but I only got a test device now. I unpacked the watch and got a first impression.

Unboxing
The box that contains the Ionic and all the accessories must first be pulled out of a cardboard cover on which there are some logos, graphics and inscriptions. If you lift the dark blue lid, you can immediately see the clock in the upper half of the box. In the lower part there is a Quick Start Guide, some warning notices and the charger for the Fitbit Ionic.
initial setup
The entire initial setup of the Fitbit Ionic takes place in the Fitbit app on the smartphone, in which you first have to select which device of the company you want to set up. It is important that you turn on Bluetooth and GPS so that your smartphone and watch can find each other. After both devices have found each other, you have to enter the PIN in the app, which is displayed on the Ionic. The clock must then be connected to the WLAN so that the updates can be installed later. The Fitbit Ionic is then ready for use.
My first impression: very easy!
It's nice to have such a light watch on your wrist again. the Fossil Q Explorer HR, the one I've had on my wrist for the past few weeks is a lot more weight. After the first hours of use, I can say that the performance is very good. Inputs are recognized and implemented quickly, only the animations jerk a lot. I find it striking that notifications from the smartphone often arrive at the Ionic with a delay. This can cause confusion if you can already see the message on the cell phone and the Ionic vibrates on your arm only a short time later. I noticed positively the high display brightness and the large selection of rather unusual dials.
Many thanks to Fitbit and Fleishman-Hilliard for providing us with the test device.
