Nomad is a well-known provider of Apple accessories. Whether protective cases for iPhones or chargers, you can find everything here. We took a closer look at the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1.

There are many different providers of wireless charging gadgets. But Nomad adapts very well to Cupertino's design style. Many customers obviously like this.

tl; dr: I am thrilled with the product, which I think is the best in terms of appearance and quality that you can buy for just under 150 euros. It fits on any surface and has a modern design that I like. Another plus point is that it can charge my iPhone, my AirPods and my Apple Watch at the same time. It has a magnetic charging surface for the AirPods that keeps them securely in place and a vertical charging holder for the Apple Watch that shows me the time. The iPhone is charged quickly with up to 15 watts and is also compatible with MagSafe. The charging station is made of plastic and glass and looks very classy.

The scope of delivery

Lifting the packaging in typical Apple fashion reveals the elegant charging station, which is accompanied by a 2-meter-long USB-C cable. In order for the charging station to work, you still need a 30 watt power plug, which is not included in the scope of delivery.

Looks with style

The high-quality workmanship of the Nomad Base One Max 3-in-1 is very timeless, but has a modern design. Thanks to the black coloring with white accents, it fits on virtually every table. At Nomad, they not only thought about the color selection, but also the material selection - because plastic and glass are used. The USB-C cable is also covered in nylon and not made of conventional rubber. The weight is also unusually heavy, but this leads to high stability and also feels high quality.

MagSafe certification for fast charging

Many wireless chargers allow you to charge your smartphone without a cable, but only a few support the MagSafe standard. This guarantees optimal alignment and strong magnetic adhesion between the charger and the iPhone. Nomad has secured MagSafe certification and can therefore utilize the maximum charging power of 15 watts, while other devices only deliver 7,5 watts. This makes Nomad one of the fastest and most reliable wireless chargers on the market.

There are still subjective shortcomings

Although the product has many advantages, there is one disadvantage that bothered me. The AirPods are not held to the charging surface by a magnet, but only by a depression that marks the charging zone. This meant that sometimes I would put the AirPods on the surface, but they were not properly on the charging zone and the AirPods would not charge.
