Nomad Base Station Hub review: wireless charging for iPhone and Apple Watch

Wireless charging stations have become an integral part of everyday life for several years. Mobile devices are becoming more and more numerous and each one needs to be supplied with power at the same time. Nomad has addressed this problem and has the right solution with the Nomad Base Station Hub.
Nomad is known for its high-quality and affordable products. The Californian manufacturer also uses environmentally friendly packaging and does not set too high a price. We had another similar product at TechnikNews already review: the Nomad Base Station Pro.

Only the bare essentials are included here
When you open the packaging, you only come across the Base Station Hub including the power supply unit with US, EU and UK plugs and some paperwork. Unfortunately, this power supply is not a USB-C power supply. Unfortunately, the European version does not have an integrated Apple Watch charging pad either.

Charge all Apple devices at the same time
Anyone who has the entire mobile Apple cosmos now has the option of charging the Apple Watch, AirPods and iPhone at the same time. During my test, however, I encountered the phenomenon several times that the iPhone 12 mini did not always charge reliably, while there were no interruptions with the Pro Max.
Nevertheless, you should make sure that you charge the device correctly and that you do not place the device on the Base Station Hub without checking while trusting that it is charging correctly. Otherwise the rude awakening could happen when you get up in the morning: the empty battery.
All charging ports are available
On the back there are some ports, such as USB-A, USB-C, with which you can charge other devices at the same time via cable. All you have to do is to have the main power supply plugged in.
Workmanship at a high level and hardly bigger than a hand
There is no lack of quality. High-quality leather and plastic were used, among other things. There is no need to worry about the material overheating. At the same time, it is also a product that is barely bigger than a hand, so procan be easily placed in most corners and is really a visual feast for the eyes.
Conclusion
From the outset, it is not a product for people who want to spend little money and are happy with the bare essentials. The target group is clearly those who prefer high-priced and high-quality charging stations and have the necessary cash. Because Nomad is not pricing the Nomad Station Hub for free at around 150 euros.
