The Chinese manufacturer Realme has been known for years for bringing smartphones with great features on the market for a good, fair price. Only a few months ago we did that Realm 8 Pro took a closer look, which was able to convince across the board for about 260 euros and now the manufacturer has another price-performance hit, the Realme GT, on offer.

In the small memory version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, this costs only 450 euros. For this price, customers get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, an OLED display with 120 Hertz, 65 watt Fast Charge and much more. On paper we are definitely dealing with the next price-performance hit, but you will soon find out in my detailed review whether the device can also convince in everyday life or whether Realme has not made savings in one area or another. Now I unpack the smartphone and report on my first impressions after a few days of use.

Unboxing

The large black box is lightly striped and marked on the front with the Proadorned with duct names. The most important technical data and the memory variant are shown on the back. After removing the lid of the packaging and then putting the paperwork, the transparent protective cover and the SIM needle aside in a small box, the Realme GT appears in a protective film. Otherwise, a large 65 watt power supply and a USB-C cable are included in the scope of delivery. Unfortunately, headphones are not included.

Realme GT in the first impression

The design of the Realme GT is the first point that caught my eye the first time I picked it up. The back is made of glass with a high-gloss finish, which feels extremely high-quality and, surprisingly, is not too prone to fingerprints. The reason for this is a slightly striped pattern under the glass. Depending on the incidence of light, the black color also looks slightly bluish, which I find very chic. The frame is only made of high-gloss plastic, but since many other competitors no longer offer this, I don't want to complain too much.

If we look at the front, we see a 6,43-inch FHD + OLED display with a smooth refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which greatly improves the user experience, paired with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. You are only used to such a strong performance from the latest high-end smartphones, but now you can get them for just 450 euros. Otherwise, after a few days of use, I also like the built-in stereo speakers, which are sufficiently loud from the first impression and produce a nice sound.

After the first few days, however, I am worried about the battery life. If the smartphone is used, especially in the mobile network, you can see how the batteryProcent values gradually decrease. Although the display and the Prozessor is very power-hungry, but I would have expected a little more from 4.500 mAh.

So far, these have been my first impressions of the new Realme GT. At the moment I can't report anything about the camera and I would also like to take a closer look at the battery life in the next few days. In a few weeks' time we will be taking a very close look at all of this and much more in my test report.
