Pixel Watch only next year
So far it has been assumed that a Pixel Watch will be presented together with the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL. However, Google has now denied this twice to Tom's Guide. The reason given was that Google was not yet ready to develop its own smartwatch and that they would rather concentrate on working with other manufacturers. In addition, the further development of Wear OS has recently been in the focus. We won't see a Pixel Watch until next year at the earliest.
Surface Go extensively tested
I was able to test the Surface Go extensively for almost two weeks. I used it every day as my work tool and got to know some advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages was that the Go is extremely light, so it was hardly noticeable in my IFA bag and I often carried it in my hand. One disadvantage was that the display is very small and working with the Surface Go was unfamiliar, especially at the beginning. All further details can be found review report.

New information about the display of the Apple Watch Series 4
9to5Mac found this week in the latest beta of watchOS 5 information on the resolution of the 42-millimeter version of the Apple Watch Series 4 - 384 x 480 pixels with a calculated pixel density of 345 PPI, it should be. For comparison: the 42-millimeter model of the Series 3 has a resolution of 312 x 390 pixels. The new resolution clearly offers more space for content, which is why developers would have to adapt their apps to the new space situation. Apple will probably introduce the Apple Watch Series 4 on September 12th.

Dark Mode for the YouTube app on Android is now available
There has been a dark mode in the iOS app and in the YouTube web version for a few months now. One of these has now also been activated for the app on Android. The option to activate should automatically appear in the app's settings over time. If this is not the case, it helps to update YouTube to the latest version and to force the app to exit via the system settings. The dark mode is intended to save the battery, especially on smartphones with AMOLED displays, and protect the eyes in dark surroundings.
Name known for the largest version of the upcoming iPhones
So far it was unclear how Apple could call the largest version of the upcoming iPhones. Many typed on terms like "iPhone Xs Plus" or "iPhone Xs 6.5". Instead, “iPhone Xs Max” should be the final name, according to 9to5Mac, which refer to two sources familiar with Apple's marketing plans. So it seems that the company from Cupertino buried the suffix “Plus”. The unveiling of the new iPhones will take place on September 12th, we will report afterwards.
Update to Chrome 69 available now
The 69th version of Chrome appeared on the browser's tenth birthday. The biggest innovation is the integration of Material Design on all platforms on which Chrome can be installed. The design language has now rounded all possible corners, so that the entire UI of the browser looks much tidier. There is a list with the most important remaining innovations in the article.
Those were the highlights of IFA 2018 in Berlin
The IFA in Berlin ended four days ago. That's why we recorded your highlights, which we determined based on the clicks, in connection with our highlight in a separate article. You were particularly interested in the Motorola One, the new AVMProproducts and the picture frame TV “The Wall” from Samsung. The IFA highlight for editor-in-chief David Wurm and myself was a visit to the Libratone booth. All information and details can be found in the articles.
Google sent out invitations for the October event
In the course of this week, Google sent out invitations to various technology blogs and YouTubers for a "Made by Google" event. This takes place on October 9th and begins at 11 a.m. local time, which is 17 p.m. in the afternoon for us. The Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 (XL), among others, will almost certainly be presented. A Chromecast with Bluetooth is also expected. Google will no longer present a Pixel Watch this year (see above).
My first impression of the Fitbit Ionic
The Fitbit Ionic was presented at the IFA 2017 in Berlin. I finally got a test device, which I unpacked two days ago. I especially like being able to wear a light watch again - when you wear the Fossil Q Explorist HR, you never forget that you had a watch on your wrist. I also liked the display, which can get very bright, and the large selection of dials. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed that all animations are very jerky. Entries were always correctly recognized, however, and the associated command was always executed quickly. The Fitbit Ionic review will be published in the near future.
Microsoft event will also take place in October
Microsoft also sent out invitations for an event in October. This will take place on October 2nd in New York. Microsoft chose 16 p.m. local time as the time, which is 22 p.m. in the evening for us. It is assumed that devices from the Surface series use the IntelProeighth generation processors. New information about the Windows 10 October 2018 update is also expected.
