HMD Global officially launched a new entry-level smartphone, the Nokia 5.4, yesterday. For only 219 euros, it offers, among other things, a long update guarantee and a quad camera with 48 megapixels.

The highlight is, as just mentionedprochen, the update guarantee. The software runs Android 10, whereby the Nokia 5.4 is part of the Android One program. This means that it gets at least two major upgrades to new Android versions and monthly security updates for three years. This is anything but a given in this price range. For comparison, a OnePlus North N10 5G According to OnePlus, only one major software update should be received for 349 euros.

Nokia 5.4 Specs

The display has a diagonal of 6,39 inches and only has a resolution of 1.600 x 720 pixels. This is an IPS panel without a high refresh rate of 90 or even 120 Hertz. For the price, some offer a bit more, but the low resolution is likely to have a negative impact on the price.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 from last year, which is manufactured using the 11-nanometer process. This processor is also found in the much cheaper Little M3. To the side are 4 or 6 GB RAM and 64 or 128 GB flash memory, which can be expanded via a micro SD card. The battery has a solid 4.000 mAh capacity and can be charged with up to 10 watts. The device can be unlocked with a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the smartphone.

Finally, of course, we have to take a closer look at the camera, because according to the manufacturer, it should also be one of the highlights. Nokia installed four sensors, which are set up as follows: 48 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and two senseless sensors with 2 megapixels each for macro shots and depth effects. The front camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels sits in a small recess in the display.
