MIUI 13 is coming to Germany: features and devices released

In addition to Google's Android upgrades, many manufacturers also have their own skins for Android. Samsung relies on its own OneUI and Oppo on ColorOS. However, MIUI from Xiaomi is not necessarily tied to an Android version, which means that many new functions can also be installed on the devices without the latest Android. With MIUI 13, Xiaomi promises faster "main functions" such as greater efficiency in the backgroundproprocessor, more intelligent processing of data and longer battery life.

"Liquid Storage" is a new method of storing data that can increase read and write speeds by up to 60 percent. This should also have a long-term positive effect on the lifespan of the device. There have been further improvements in the efficiency of the RAM and in the optimization of system resources. All of this should lead to a battery life extension of up to 10 percent.

We cannot yet say exactly which functions have made it to Europe from the Chinese version of MIUI 13, according to Xiaomi at least the sidebar should be taken over. With this, new apps can be opened in windows with a swipe, or you can switch between different ones. A total of 10 apps can be integrated into the sidebar.

MIUI 13 will roll out in a first phase in Q1 2022 for the following devices
