TechnikNews turned two on Wednesday! A few days ago there was the first part of our special - now the second part with the big competition follows. There is a brand new Amazon Echo and an Echo Dot to be won.

Amazon Echo and Echo Dot - what is it?
Both devices have a voice assistant that goes by the name Alexa. This answers questions such as “Alexa, how is the weather going today?” And “Alexa, how many inhabitants does Germany have?”. In addition, the Smart Home can be controlled with the Echo or Echo Dot and the appropriate accessories. Simply shouting "Alexa, dim the lamps" or "Alexa, set the room temperature to 20 degrees" is enough. The smart assistant can also read out messages and play music. Simple tasks like “Alexa, set the alarm for 7:30 a.m.” also work, of course.

In addition, so-called “skills” appear for Alexa from day to day - these are extensions made available by developers. They give the Echo and Echo Dot many other functions and extras.
