We wish you a happy new year: That was the year 2020 on TechnikNews

Only a few hours separate us from the year 2021 - we wish you a happy new year at this point. It is also the last hours of the very chaotic year 2020. Like this one for us here TechnikNews exactly went, we want to tell you again this year.

2019 was a VERY good year for TechnikNews. Not only did we publish a lot more articles than in previous years (and accordingly got more clicks on them), we were also able to make many good friends at IFA 2019. Accordingly, we were all looking forward to 2020, but then everything turned out a little different because of the pandemic. For example, the MWC was canceled, which means that there was much less news from the fair than in previous years. It was also not clear for a long time whether we would be able to attend this year's IFA.

In the end we didn't let the circumstances get us down. We continued as before and gave you a lot of reading material. In keeping with the current situation, we also gave a small one this month Insight into our home office setups. So our team grew a little bit in the end. On the one hand caught Felix to us, who often supports the Weeklys and always delivered high-quality YouTube videos for his test reports. Then applied in September Fabian with us, who has since provided the site not only with various news, but also with a large number of test reports. Thanks for that! A big thank you also goes to ours Nils, which has managed to publish exclusive news several times since June - it even came into being a new category from it. At this point I also want to join Kevin Thank you, who made a wide variety of gadgets and laptops throughout the yearproand told you about his experiences. Also Marilies A big thank you, because after a short break she has been helping to edit the articles again this year.

Without our founder and editor-in-chief David Wurm but nothing would work here. Often he sits in the middle of the night on performance improvements, security updates or similar things, so that we can give you an even better experience here TechnikNews can offer. Expressed in numbers: he carried out almost 30 server maintenance work and updates. A big, big thank you at this point too.

There were also some minor but noteworthy events that year. This is how we started ours, for example Discord server for a better exchange with you. Also new is that we have been on Google News since this year and that we now have partner ref links that help us pay the costs for TechnikNews better to do.

All in all, 2020 was also a very good year for TechnikNews and we are better positioned than ever for the future. No matter how chaotic times may be, nothing can throw us off track.

The known statistics for the year ending

Now let's look at some statistics for this year.

In total we published 450 articles this year. That is not quite as much as last year, but there was not as much to report as usual due to the canceled events. Most of the articles appeared in November, we clicked the publish button 60 times in total. Incidentally, most of the visitors stopped by in September - not least because of our visit to the IFA in Berlin. We were also able to achieve more than ever in terms of visitors, which is a new high for us. These are the most clicked articles this year:

And where is the journey going in the coming year?

Even if 2020 is not quite over yet, we have already given a lot of thought for 2021. We want to focus on three things in particular. First of all, it would be the involvement of you, our community. Because you are one of the reasons why it is TechnikNews can give and everything is going so well. Therefore we set up the mentioned Discord server, where we want to exchange more information with you in the next 365 days.

We also want to start a podcast. In principle, this should be a more detailed variant of the existing one TechnikNews Be weekly. But there will also be special editions, for example after the publication of special test reports. If everything goes according to plan, the first episode will be released this Sunday - Fingers Crossed.

Last but not least, we want to have our own soon TechnikNews-Merch offer what we want to give you back for your support. In the meantime, the first part, the TechnikNews-Sweater, done. T-shirts and other interesting ones Proproducts will follow in the future. There will be an official announcement with all the details in the coming weeks.

THANK YOU!

Especially in a year like 2020, we are glad that we have you readers. Without you, your clicks and your comments could TechnikNews do not exist in the form we all know today. Also through your interaction Facebook, Instagram and Twitter you support us immensely. Thank you very much, we hope you are satisfied with what we have to offer and we hope that we can go a step further in 2021.

TechnikNews wishes a happy new year and good luck in 2021!

My regular quote follows again this year:
