Simply iconic: Teufel unveils its most powerful Wi-Fi speaker

Teufel once again took advantage of IFA 2026, showcasing several new products in their Berlin store. In addition to soundbars and other smaller new items, the new flagship Teufel IKONIO is now available. We were able to get a first look (and listen) to it on site.
The Teufel IKONIO is designed to stand out and make a statement; Teufel, the Berlin-based company, even refers to it as a "work of art." At the same time, it's also the most powerful speaker in the Teufel home streaming family. Furthermore, it's equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Spotify Connect, TuneIn, Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and more.
New all-in-one concept with eight drivers
Teufel expands its portfolio with the IKONIO, a particularly powerful Wi-Fi speaker. The model aims to combine the low-frequency capabilities of a separate subwoofer with a compact all-in-one system. Inside, an active 3-way system with a total of eight drivers and eight amplifier channels is at work. Three tweeters and three midrange drivers are complemented by two opposing 200 mm woofers. Teufel specifies a power output of 650 watts RMS and 2.500 watts peak, as well as a maximum sound pressure level of 118 dB. The frequency response is said to extend down to 19 Hz at -6 dB. The force-balancing arrangement of the two woofers is designed to simultaneously reduce cabinet vibrations.
Three sound modes and wireless stereo operation
For spatial sound reproduction, Teufel relies on its Dynamore Ultra technology. In Immersive mode, the IKONIO radiates sound from three sides, creating a wide soundstage even as a single speaker. An Omnidirectional mode distributes the sound as evenly as possible throughout the room, while the Mono mode focuses the sound more sharply forward. Two IKONIO speakers can also be wirelessly connected to form a classic stereo pair; according to the manufacturer, the maximum sound pressure level then increases to up to 124 dB. A digital signalproThe zessor handles the control of the eight amplifier channels. Despite the comparatively high power output, the system operates passively cooled and requires no fan.
Streaming via AirPlay, Google Cast and Spotify Connect
The IKONIO supports connectivity options including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, TuneIn, and Bluetooth 5.1. Analog devices can be connected via an RCA input, and an optical digital input is also available. Operation is via a touch panel with automatic illumination upon approach, as well as via the Teufel Home app. The speaker measures 30 × 38 × 30 centimeters and weighs 17,4 kilograms. The fabric grilles are removable, and Teufel also offers an optional stand from K&M for freestanding placement.
The speaker starts at €1.199,99 and is available now in the online shop of Devil Germany or Devil Austria ordered.
