“A long time ago in a galaxy far far away” - Google has put a new Easteregg online under this keyword in order to shorten the waiting time, especially for “Star Wars” fans, for the new film. All you have to do is enter the complete keyword as a search term.

A new film in the "Star Wars" series will be released in a few days - Google seems to be waiting longingly for it too. How do we know? Google has published a new easter egg in its search engine, with which it is possible to travel to distant galaxies. Of course we already have thatprobeers. Google is known for its gimmicks, there was also an Easter egg for April 1st - here you could find the the well-known classic "Pac-Man".

"A long time ago in a galaxy far far away"

The Google Easteregg has been available since November 25th. We just stumbled upon it today to google for more information about the upcoming film in the “Star Wars” series, on December 17th, 2015 to be precise.

To decorate the new easter egg yourselfprobeer, you only need to call up the search engine with the browsers Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. With the Firefox browser, we also have it outprobet - unfortunately it doesn't work here - only the pure search results are displayed, without any effect. Of course, it is also possible to display the look on your smartphone. In our test, Google Chrome & Samsung's own browser worked.

Called up Google, you now enter the complete keyword, i.e. "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away". Then start the search and you should now see all the results found under this keyword in “Star Wars” style. If you want to display the results in the "old" style, just click on "close (X)" in the top right corner. According to our research, this Easter egg already existed a few years ago - more precisely in 2006. Unfortunately, it didn't manage to turn off the effectprobeer, here is a screenshot of it:

Google in the “Star Wars” craze

But that was not all: In addition to "a long time ago in a galaxy far far away“There is another way to shorten the waiting time. You can display all of Google's services in a dark style (in the dark side of power). To do this, open the website google.com/starwars and here you can drag your symbol from the middle to the left (light side) or to the right side (dark side), and all Google services will appear for you personally in the specified look - all you need is a Google account. The whole works on Android, iPhone, iPad, MAC, Windows & Chromebooks from Google.
