Motorola Ibiza: Inexpensive 5G device planned for 2021 [Exclusive]
The Motorola Ibiza will be one of the first devices with a Qualcomm 5G CPU of the 400 series. Qualcomm had already announced at IFA 2020 that such a CPU will come. We have together with Adam conway initial information about the device.
The device is codenamed “Ibiza” internally, we do not (yet) have a marketing name. The display will have a resolution of 720 x 1600 (HD+) and will be equipped with a refresh rate of 90Hz. According to our information, it does not support HDR or OLED, the front camera is built into a "waterdrop notch". as Proprocessor, a 5G CPU from Qualcomm from the 400 series will be installed for the first time. The CPU is called "SM4350" and is built on the "Holi" board. According to our information, the device is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, but we cannot currently say whether there will be other configurations. We have “XT2137” as the model number.
more details
In addition to the 13MP front camera from Samsung (s5k3l6), the device will also have a 48 MP main camera from Samsung (s5kgm1st). Two more sensors on the back will also be installed, the 5MP sensor also comes from Samsung (s5k5e9) and serves as a macro camera and the 2 MP sensor from OmniVision (ov02b1b) is used for depth information.
The same 5.000 mAh battery from the Motorola g9 Play is used as the battery. The latest Android 11 runs on the device with adjustments by Motorola, which will also be very minor for version 11. The device will be presented in the first quarter of 2021, very likely via press release. It is clear that Motorola has planned a lot of new devices for Q1 2021, next to "Ibiza" there are still Capri, Capripe and Nio the end. We can already say so much: it won't stop there.
