Honor Magic 6 Pro review: hands-on, first impression and technical data
Hola from Barcelona - where Honor officially launched the Magic 2024 shortly before the start of MWC 6 Pro presented for Europe. ProOf course, fis know that the device has been available in China for some time. We take a first hands-on look at the flagship, which will make it to Germany – and even Austria.
The Honor Magic 6 Pro will be one of the new smartphones that will also be available in this country for a long time. After the spin-off from Huawei, Honor is now an independent company - but in many ways it continues to be based on the former subsidiary. The advantage of this is the full availability of Google services, which, as we know, are no longer available at Huawei.
After these few days it is still too short for a complete test, so we will start with a first impression. As usual, we will submit a detailed test report in the coming weeks.

Honor Magic 6 Pro in the first impression
In this country it is Honor Magic 6 Pro Available in two color variants – green and black. The green version comes with a back with a grip like a basketball, which feels really good and is a good counterpart to the (in my opinion) boring glass backs.
How can I put it – the setup and software feel right at home, like a Huawei smartphone. No wonder, after all, the current Honor MagicOS is based on the former EMUI. The whole thing is enriched with a few gimmicks – including a kind of dynamic island as we know it at Apple. The Honor Magic 6 is currently running Pro on MagicOS 8.0.0.120 with Android 14 as a base.
Under the hood there is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is accompanied by 12 GB of RAM (+ 7 GB of “RAM Turbo”, technically savvy people would call it “swap”). There is 512 GB of internal memory for storing files. We have summarized the complete table a little further below.
Honor Magic 6 Pro in the first camera test
On the way and in Barcelona I had the Honor Magic 6 Pro accompanied by the beautiful old town and the alleys. My most used function was the camera, which performed really well apart from small details. There are still difficulties with the zoom levels from 10x - unfortunately the 100x zoom is completely unusable. However, these are all things that will be improved in future updates before the market launch, Honor assures us.
The detailed test and evaluation of the photos follows review report, but what follows is a first impression of it.
