Android 7.0 update for Galaxy A3 (2017) and J7 (2016) started
After Samsung had already provided the top smartphones with updates to Android Nougat, the mid-range devices are now also getting started. This now includes the 3 and 7 versions of the Galaxy A2017 and J2016. The update has now also been released for these devices in Europe.
Already last year, Samsung versproplans to equip the latest devices in the A3, A5 and J7 series with Android Nougat. The promise was kept, albeit a little late: the release was actually planned for mid-June. After other countries, the update has finally arrived in Europe. The update has already been announced for our device.
Incremental delivery
However, it may take a few more weeks for all users to receive the update. Surprisingly, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 from 2015 also received an update to Android 7.0 Nougat. After starting difficulties, it received a new WLAN certificate and was tested again with Android Nougat. This means that it is also compatible and receives the update.
In addition to the middle and entry-level classes, the group has already equipped the flagships Galaxy S6 and S7, each with their Edge versions, with the latest version. We have which devices from Samsung and other manufacturers still receive Android Nougat in this overview for your convenience.
Hello the update is around 900 MB in size and contains new functions and further improvements
hello the update just came in on my J7
Hello
I have the file for the Samsung J7 2016 here and uploaded it to Mega,
The direct a file from Samsung so nothing tinkered or something, after the installation you get an update via the mobile phone a security patch.
The update is for the SM-J710FN German version.
How to install this file...
Download Odin from the Internet https://odindownload.com/SamsungOdin/#.We8ml2i0OUk
Install all Samsung drivers from mobile phones Windows 10 does it by itself.
Load the file from Mega https://mega.nz/#!JWJ2SYTJ!ukqQrTGgFeTcBU0yazFspyzTs4HGhykHzo650HFpcDg
Put the mobile phone in download mode, then switch off the mobile phone and hold down the power and volume down button and home button at the same time, a blue screen now appears, we now confirm this with the volume up button, Now plug the mobile phone into the PC via USB, let the driver install .
Then we open Odin and when the mobile phone has been recognized, a green bar appears at the top left
Now we click on the AP button in Odin and select the file that we loaded in Mega...reading in the file takes a bit up to 3 minutes. If the file is then visible in Odin in AP, we can click on Start.
Now Odin installs the software on the mobile phone, at the end it says PASS at the top left and the mobile phone restarts.
Now we can unplug the USB cable and let the mobile phone boot (ATTENTION, booting can take up to 10 minutes the first time) so there is no unrest.
Then set everything up and have fun with Android 7.0
Cool! Finally a download link for my J7 2017! Thank you Mario! Can there be a loss of data or do you prefer to make a backup beforehand?
Make a backup
But I just ironed it over and everything was as before without what was deleted ..
With pleasure

Our difficult to move update seems to have arrived in Poland since October 13th ... let's see when it crosses the border.
In India one wave after another is being rolled out, should you move to India if you are a Galaxy J7 user? Or is Samsung's uptate service just serving the flagships? Why are they bringing the J-series out if you are slow to bring them with you? Supply updates?
Unfortunately for us it is still the case that we German users are pretty much the last to get updates. Then especially in the entry-level series, such as the J series, the priority for us Germans to deliver an update is even lower.
So I tested the Android 7 on the J7 2016 and removed it again.
It just went pretty well ProThe problem is that the modem driver for the SIM cards does not fit, so the SIM card did not work.
I have too proThe Russian version is the same for flashing as well Prostated problems.
The indie version only crashes ...
So Samsung is holding it back for a reason.
I now have a completely different Android 7.0 to run from Revolution that runs great.
Just wanted to report.
LG max
Samsung just eat a juice shop, always this eternal delaying tactic. It shouldn't be that you have the latest software on your mobile phone.
Yesterday also for a3 2017 in Italy, so also finally in Europe
Hello
And already I have the first German Stock Rom for the J7 2016 in my hands. I'll test it today and let me know if it works.
The one official version should work, I like to link it here, which is then imported via Odin.
LG
Hello, I couldn't wait, I already found a download of version 7.0 on the Internet, but it can only be flashed in the language indie if the bootloder is also flashing, would have wanted to post on the left here, but was not released .
I have now found a Rome in Netzt with 7.0 that runs top based on stock of A5 ...
That my J7 no longer has a guarantee anyway and won't get any updates after Android 7 so I didn't care.
Officially, I think it will only come in weeks so before Christmas or even later.
Samsung now has really shitty support
Should I discover an official version, I'll get back to you here.
LG
The a5 2017 already got an update in Germany
That's right - the update on the A5 2017 was released a few weeks ago.
Until today, the 8.9. nothing yet. Is there more information? I haven't found anything yet.
Unfortunately, there is currently no further information from Samsung. When we asked, the only answer was that it should take a while.
Hello, I'll get back to you
I found a link to Android 7 for the Samsung J7 2016 SM-J710FN but it is not yet a German software that means keyboard but not bad I use another one anyway, I will test it today. Language is indie here
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7-2016/SM-J710FN/
the link is from 1.09.2017/XNUMX/XNUMX
For the download you have to log in briefly then you can download it for free
The file is 1,4 GB in size
Then later appear the German downloads.
Will there be anything else to come for the J7 2016? There would be nothing new at Samsung, as always.
A5 2017 would have gotten the update now in de then that a3 that the update will probably griegen in the next few days and then that j7
The update for the Galaxy j7 2016 has probably started in Russia these days, but unfortunately nothing has arrived here. Who knows more?
It's a shame, today is August 31.8st and still no update to android 7 for the Galaxy J7 2016; ((.
Christian,
No, I haven't found anything to download yet. I've read that it should come on August 31.08.2017, XNUMX, I'm curious if it doesn't come then I don't think it will come at all, so it's best to buy a new one .. But I won't.
Well let's see what happens today.
It's a shame that there are no more CM Roms for the J7 2016 then I would be there already.
Does anyone know anything about the update in Germany for the a3 and a5
So for the A3 and A5 2016, my wife also has one, both devices got Android 7 a month ago. I don't know anything for the others, sorry.
Ok, the update for the J7 2016 has now arrived in Europe .. On August 30.08th I'm curious, amazed that there are no downloads yet, otherwise most of them are like that and upload it somewhere in the forum ... for the S7 I had it already it wasn't even officially an update but only arrived in Europe and Bomm was linked to it for download somewhere.
To be honest, I think the Samsung Update Support really sucks, then only Android 7.0 comes along, there is already 7.1, etc ... And soon there will be Android 8 ... It's a shame that it takes so long ...
Well no matter…
LG
Because you say in Europe, do you already have it? Waiting longingly for the update, but I haven't received anything yet.
But I do believe that the firmware will be available for download somewhere. As Steven said, it shouldn't take long (if that's true). The updates from Samsung really sucks, they need almost 1-2 years after a new Android version is available to update. Android 8 will only get the (2017) models anyway.
Today the j516 WiFi has also been certified but a3 and j7 still nothing in Germany but I am sure that it should come very soon because the anroid is already out there and if a 1 year entry-level device gets it soon it would have to be that the middle class to upper class devices will also soon be available. I can imagine that it will come for a3 this Saturday and for j7 there the day after that
Difficult to read your comment from the spelling, ha 😛
What does WiFi certified mean? What happens there?
Will the Galaxy J 7 (2015) also get the update? does anyone know
Best regards,
No, that 2016 but got a WiFi certificate yesterday
Dear reader,
The update has already been released for Samsung j7 2016 in Europe.
As I mentioned before, it will be available for every German customer on August 30th. But it is also possible that you will receive the push notification halfway through today or tomorrow.
The updates are always in the period from
4.00:12 a.m., 19:XNUMX p.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. LG distributes Steven
Hey Steven - thanks for the info! Thank you for sharing your insights with us here! L.G. David
Yes, okay, and a3 2017 should now slowly become one, sort of a5, of course
The update for the Samsung j7 2016 will reach Germany on August 30th and will be available for everyone to install immediately. LG Samsung employees.
Hey Steven! Thanks for your info - then we'll be curious to see what happens on August 30th. 🙂
I believe that if it will be the case that it will first be delivered in one country and if a3 and a5 are not released in all countries by then, it will probably not be 30, that's my fear
Hi,
So on the Samsung J7 2016 nothing of Android 7 can be seen so far, I'm curious if something is really coming unfortunately Samsung is not so update friendly.
Does anyone know when the update will come?
LG
Unfortunately there is nothing yet, it will probably start when the A3 are finished in all countries
It got to me too! Device: A3 2017!
Really lol which country and did it have the new ui from the s8
Austria, but no new UI
Hey OK actually it should come with the 8.1 ui sure it's 7.0
The update should come at any time. As usual, it will take a while for Samsung.
Wait how can it be that you got the update on the 22nd and it's only just beginning for Russia
Good question - I'm surprised too.
The update policy is really quite understandable. The A32016 should even get the Android O. I'm curious when the A3/17 will receive the update. I haven't even received security updates on my device yet.
Unfortunately, there is no information yet as to whether Android O will be available for both devices. But probably more for the newer ones.
What do you mean by announcement I don't have any yet I'm really looking forward to the update we're about time finally it's slowly starting to happen that the update will probably come for a3 on the 31st of this month
Hello Marvin, was formulated somewhat imprecisely. This meant that a notification had already appeared on our A3 (2017) stating that a software update was available.
And exactly, it's best to wait a while. 🙂
I can't understand that either because I heard the galaxy a3 2016 should already have android 7.0 and the 2017 model I have myself and there hasn't been an update yet
Still the 6.0 if it doesn't come by summer then it won't come either
That's right, the A3 (2016) already received the update to Nougat in June - I can't quite understand it either.
But as already mentioned in the article, the rollout of the update for the A3 (2017) has already started. The update has already been installed on our device in Austria. So just be patient 🙂
So I'm good to know that Samsung Turkey said it was coming today, but I have no idea whether that applies to Germany
