I use this smartphone: iPhone XS

Smartphones are now a dime a dozen. But why I use exactly the iPhone XS, I explain in this report.

usability

I like to use the iPhone XS in gold because it looks futuristic and elegant, as you know it from a premium smartphone. All controls such as the mute switch and the volume control are like the first iPhone and therefore I don't have to get used to something new and am at home in my Apple cosmos. Everything is the same as with any other iPhone if the device has changed optically from its predecessor. Only the omission of the home button was getting used to, which was only half as bad thanks to the reliability of Face ID.

Software

I love iOS and the associated operation with the new gestures, because every swipe gesture is well thought out. By simply switching apps, I don't miss the split-screen feature of Android. With everyday use absolutely nothing stutters and crashes are also very rare. That makes the iPhone XS a very reliable companion.

Loudspeakers

Since I don't watch series that often, I attach relatively little importance to the speakers. But I still noticed that these are among the better ones on the market. I notice this particularly when talking on the phone - I can hear the person opposite clearly and clearly.

Display

I really enjoy looking at this retina display because the crisp and realistic colors are very pleasing to the eye. The 5,8-inch OLED panel is really fun in everyday life. I've also got used to the notch by now. In my eyes, it's now more of a design element than an Apple stopgap solution.

homescreen

Many Android users are now definitely fighting their hair when it comes to the "restricted" homescreen. Because since the release of the first iPhone, Apple has clearly specified how you can place your apps. Widgets have not yet been introduced either. But that's exactly what I like, as everything looks much tidier. My structure in folders also contributes to the latter point. If I need them, I can simply store widgets in the left panel.

Camera

Yes, Apple can use good cameras. And especially when I'm out and about and I want to take a nice snapshot, I can be sure that the picture looks very good and that is exactly what is important to me personally. I'm sure most of the people out there will feel the same way.

Conclusion: why exactly the iPhone?

For me this question is easy to answer. The software is well adapted and you don't have to get used to it when you jump to the next version. Thanks to iCloud, all data from my iPhone are also saved on my iPad, which makes my life a lot easier. I also like the way iOS is built.
