On Tuesday Apple introduced the Apple AirTag after many rumors. The small chip can now be pre-ordered.

With immediate effect (from Friday, April 23rd, 14 p.m.), pre-orders for the Apple AirTag will be made on the website of the company from Cupertino. The price for a single chip is 35 euros, whereas a pack of four with a price of 119 euros is a bit cheaper. First-party accessories are available from 35 euros.

Apple AirTag: features

The Apple AirTag can be attached to all kinds of objects so that they can be found using the “Where is?” App on the iPhone. The big advantage is that you don't even have to be near the tracker to get a location. If another iPhone receives the signal from an AirTag, it sends the location data anonymously to the server so that it can be viewed on your own iPhone.

If an AirTag is nearby, there are two ways to find it. Either you trigger the speaker of the chip or you use "Precision Finding". An arrow on the iPhone points in the direction of where the AirTag is located. However, this only works if you are the owner of an iPhone 11 (11th generation). Pro, 11 Pro Max) or an iPhone 12 (12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max) is. The gadget is also waterproof and the battery should last for a year.

The purple iPhone 12 also entered the pre-order round

At the same time, the iPhone 12 and 12 mini in the new purple color entered the pre-order round. Except for the color, nothing changed in the devices. The 12 and 12 mini are now available in red, green, blue, purple and black.
