Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra unveiled at MWC 2024

As with many other manufacturers, the Xiaomi 14 is the compact and slightly cheaper smartphone in the series without any additional name. The device's display measures 6,36 inches diagonally, is based on AMOLED and has a resolution of 2670 x 1200 pixels. The refresh rate can vary between one and 120 Hertz. On the 14 Ultra, however, the size of the display is 6,73 inches and the resolution is 3200 x 1440 pixels.

Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra: Big focus on the camera
The cameras in both new devices were once again developed in cooperation with Leica.
The Xiaomi 14 has three cameras on the back that cover a focal length range of 14 to 75 millimeters. The aperture of the main sensor is f/1.6 and the resolution of the ultra-wide-angle camera has been increased to 50 megapixels.
With the Xiaomi 14 UItra, the manufacturer went one step further and installed a fourth lens. The main camera has an aperture that can be flexibly adjusted between f/1.64 and f/4.0. It is complemented by a telephoto lens, a periscope camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera. These cover a focal length range of 12 to 120 millimeters.
The 14 Ultra also has some exciting tricks for video recording. The smartphone supports recording 8K videos and 30 images pro Second on all four sensors. With 4K, the frame rate is 120 frames pro Second. At this resolution you can also get a fivefold slow motion effect profit. And with 4K videos with 60 frames pro The device even supports Dolby Vision.
For video recording with the 14 Ultra, Xiaomi also integrated a film mode with many practical functions that allow you to record films using common practices in the industry. Remaining specifications
The Xiaomi 14 series uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone chip from Qualcomm. This is supported by Xiaomi's IceLoop cooling system, which is intended to keep the chip cool even under high loads. Both smartphones also include the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800, which includes support for Wi-Fi 7.
The battery capacity in the Xiaomi 14 is 4610 milliamp hours, while the battery in the 14 Ultra has a capacity of 5000 milliamp hours. Both can be charged with 90 watts via cable. The maximum wireless charging power is 50 watts in the Xiaomi 14 and 80 watts in the 40 Ultra.
Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra: prices and availability
The Xiaomi 14 can now be purchased starting at 999,90 euros (RRP) with 12 gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of storage. Sales of the 14 Ultra start on March 19th, the price of the device is 1499,90 euros (RRP) with 16 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of storage.
