Now that CES 2019 officially began, Acer presented a new Acer Swift 7. In addition to an Intel Core i7, this ultrabook has an almost borderless display.

Inside the Acer Swift 7 is an eighth generation Core i7 with a maximum of 512 gigabytes of SSD storage and a maximum of 16 gigabytes of RAM. When it comes to battery life, Acer states 10 hours. How long the device will actually hold out in the end remains to be seen. There are two USB-C connectors that support Thunderbolt 3 and a Displayport connector. The Swift 7 is still very portable with a weight of less than two kilograms and a thickness less than one centimeter.

Almost borderless display and Windows Hello fingerprint sensor

The Swift 7's touch display is 14 inches and has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. A little bit by today's standards, but now good. It is noticeable that the edges around the display are only very thin. There wasn't even room for an Acer logo. Then the Windows Hello fingerprint sensor, which Acer built into the power button, should catch the eye. The Acer Swift 7 will be available in North America in May at a price of 1.700 US dollars.
