Every few years an iPhone from the SE series comes out of Cupertino. It seems like the next one, the Apple iPhone SE 3, could be released in the coming year.

It all started with Apple providing the most up-to-date at the time Prozessor from his own house and put it in the housing of the iPhone 5S. The first iPhone SE was born. It was very popular at that time, especially due to the low price. Then it was quiet for a few years until the successor was unveiled last year.

This borrowed the look of the iPhone 8 and the chip, the A13 Bionic, from iPhone 11. The display is 4,7 inches in size and the price is just as low as the original. It is also the last Apple smartphone with a fingerprint sensor for Touch ID. Another successor, the Apple iPhone SE 3, is now planned for the first half of next year.

Apple iPhone SE 3: changes mainly inside

In contrast to the jump from the first to the second generation, this time there should hardly be any visual changes. Apple should keep the iPhone 8 look and thus also Touch ID. A new coat of paint is probably not scheduled until 2023, when the smartphone will get a display with a punch hole.

The innovations should only be on the inside. In particular, there is talk of 5G. Since the cellular standard has only been found in iPhones since last year, the inexpensive models should also get something from it. Then the current A14 Bionic should move into the device. This can currently be found in the iPad Air 4 and in the iPhone 12 devices.

Information on a possible price has not yet been leaked. However, it is to be expected that it will move in a similar territory to the current SE. This starts at 479 euros.
