Apple releases iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1 and macOS 10.15.3
Apple released since yesterday iOS 13.3.1, iPadOS 13.3.1 and macOS 10.15.3. These are the usual little updates that are supposed to fix some system errors. All information.
Let's start with the major changes in iOS 13.3.1. CarPlay users can be happy because voices no longer distort during phone calls, which was often the case with iOS 13.3. A bug crept into FaceTime that accesses the ultra-wide-angle camera and not the normal wide-angle camera when using the main camera. That has been fixed. And while we're on the subject of “Photo and Video”: There should be no more delays when editing “Deep Fusion” images that were introduced with the new iPhones.
What is probably most exciting is that the system for location services now accesses the in-house U1 chip. This was also introduced in September, it ensures that two Apple devices that use the Prozessor can be found even more precisely. Other small bug fixes: Push notifications are now delivered correctly again via WLAN, the revoke window is only shown once in Mail and the screen time feature now requires you to enter a code again if you want to create a new contact. The update here is about 230 megabytes in size.
It continues with iPadOS 13.3.1, although there are actually no noteworthy things here. Apple just took over things that were built into the latest iOS.
The changelog of macOS 10.15.3 is comparatively not that long. First, the gamma handling on weak gray tones was improved for the Pro DisplayXDR. This simply means that the colors of the new Apple monitor should now appear even more natural, especially the gray tones. Second, as a MacBook user, you should Pro 16" notice that editing 4K videos works even more smoothly.
The updates are now available for download in the system settings of the respective device.
