Asus: StudioBook S presented at CES 2019 in Las Vegas

In addition to the new Zen Book S13 With the mini notch, Asus showed at the CES 2019 in Las Vegas the StudioBook S. This is a compact 17-inch workstation.
The new StudioBook S from Asus could be a real performance beast. Inside, depending on the configuration, the Core i7 or the Xeon E-2176M from Intel is used. There is also the Nvidia Quadra P3200 graphics card and SSD storage, which is up to four terabytes in size, depending on the choice. The RAM can optionally be a full 64 gigabytes in size. You don't see that often in a notebook that is so compact (more on that in a moment).
17-inch display in a 15-inch housing
The display of the Asus StudioBook S is a full 17 inches. And yet, based on the size of the case, you might initially think that there is only a 15-inch display here. This was made possible by the fairly thin bezels around the display, which are only 5,3 millimeters wide. There is a hidden number pad in the trackpad that can be brought to life when needed. The manufacturer did not install a ScreenPad, as seen in the Asus ZenBook Pro 15. Next to the touchpad, there is a very discreet Windows Hello fingerprint sensor. Prices have not yet been announced for the new StudioBook S. Nor has a market launch date been announced.
