Asus: StudioBook S presented at CES 2019 in Las Vegas

In addition to the new Zen Book S13 With the mini notch, Asus showed at the CES 2019 in Las Vegas the StudioBook S. This is a compact 17-inch workstation.

The new StudioBook S from Asus could be a real performance beast. Inside, depending on the configuration, the Core i7 or the Xeon E-2176M from Intel is used. There is also the Nvidia Quadra P3200 graphics card and SSD storage, which is up to four terabytes in size, depending on the choice. The RAM can optionally be a full 64 gigabytes in size. You don't see that often in a notebook that is so compact (more on that in a moment).

17-inch display in a 15-inch housing

The Asus StudioBook S has a 17-inch display. And yet, based on the size of the case, one might initially think that there is only a 15-inch display here. This was made possible by the fairly thin bezels around the display, which are only 5,3 millimeters wide. There is a hidden number pad in the trackpad that can be brought to life when needed. A ScreenPad like the one in the Asus ZenBook Pro 15 can be seen, the manufacturer did not install it here. In addition to the touchpad, there is a discreet Windows Hello fingerprint sensor. Pricing has not yet been announced for the new StudioBook S. Just as little a date for the market launch.
