Dell is next Acer another manufacturer at IFA 2018, his Proproducts has already shown to the public. I summarized the innovations the company brought to Berlin.

A new monitor with USB-C

Among other things, Dell showed a monitor at the trade fair in Berlin. This is called Dell 27 USB-C Ultrathin. Indeed, people who have already seen the monitor can confirm that it is very thin. The display is 27 inches, has a resolution of 1440p and can output content with HDR quality. With a brightness of up to 600 nits, the panel is the brightest that has ever been built into a monitor.

The Dell 27 USB-C Ultrathin supports, among other things, FreeSync from AMD (Image: Dell, 2018)

Interesting for gamers: the monitor supports AMD FreeSync and a refresh rate of 144Hz. When it comes to connections, you can choose between USB-C and HDMI. If you connect your computer via USB-C, you can use the monitor as a hub, as some USB-A ports and a headphone jack have been built in. The Dell 27 USB-C Ultrathin will be available from September for around 550 euros.

Upgrades for XPS-13 Series Ultrabooks

The entry-level model of the Dell XPS 13 is now cheaper. A Core i3 of the eighth generation from Intel works in this. This device is priced at around 900 euros. Intel processors are now also at work in the 2-in-1 models of the XPS 13Proprocessors of the eighth generation – either a Core i5 or a Core i7. 16GB of RAM are available here. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 will be available next month with an MSRP of 1000 euros.

Innovations for 2-in-1 Ultrabooks of the Inpiron 7000 series

The Inspiron 7000 series still includes three 2-in-1 Ultrabooks in three different sizes: There is a 13-inch version, a 15-inch option and a 17-inch device. All three models support Dell's CinemaColor technology and resolve in 1080p or 4K - depending on which configuration you choose.
