DJI will probably soon have a DJI Mini 3 Pro introduce. This should come with a larger battery, among other things.

The DJI Mini 2 is characterized by the fact that you can take it anywhere thanks to its small footprint. Precisely because it is so small, however, it is almost impossible to avoid buying a spare battery, because according to the manufacturer you can only fly for around 30 minutes with one charge.

Now Jasper Ellens, a "DJI Investigator", tweeted details about the successor, the DJI Mini 3 Pro. According to his information, DJI wants that just explained Prosolve the problem with this one. This is how the battery of the Mini 3 Pro Hold 2453 mAh instead of just 2250 mAh. The weight should still only be 249 grams.

Improved gimbal and sensors

You can also expect DJI to improve the gimbal and distance sensors. Especially those on the front and for the bottom should now be larger. On top of that, a sensor that analyzes the area behind the aircraft is said to have been added. The camera uses a lens with an aperture of f/1.7. This allows a little more light to be recorded than with the current model's f/2.8 aperture.

When can we expect the new drone? If the leaker has its way, there could be an announcement in just a few weeks. The price is still unknown to date, although it can be expected that it will be more expensive than the Mini 2 with a starting price of 459 euros (RRP).

Did I calculate correctly? When the Mini 2 flies 2250h (0,5 minutes) with 30mah, it consumes 4500mA pro Hour. With the "improved battery with crooked 2453mAh, the flight time would theoretically increase to 32,7 minutes. Spending €3 for 459 minutes more flight time really shouldn’t be a recommendation. Maybe then the price for the Mini 2 will drop a bit, which is currently available for around €435.
