Huawei nova 4 presented: Also with a hole in the display
Slowly but surely, the smartphone year 2018 is drawing to a close, which can also be seen in the decreasing number of new products. One of these remaining innovations is the Huawei nova 4, which like the Galaxy A8s and the Honor View 20 has a hole in the display. All information.
Just last week I reported on two new smartphones that follow a new design decision: a hole in the display where the front camera is located. The second of the two smartphones was even one of the Huawei subsidiary, namely Honor. And now Huawei is also introducing a smartphone with a cut-out in the display. Apropos display: The nova 4 is 6,4 inches in size and has a resolution of FHD+, which corresponds to 1080p. The front camera has a resolution of 25 megapixels. Overall, you could easily swap the Huawei nova 4 for the Honor View 20 just by looking at the front.
There is a triple camera on the back. Depending on which configuration you choose when buying the smartphone, the primary sensor has a resolution of 20 or 48 megapixels. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back.
With a slightly outdated processor
The Huawei nova 4 is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970, which is also used in the Huawei P20 Pro. It's a shame that the newer Kirin 980 isn't available here. The internal storage and RAM are both very generous at 128 gigabytes and eight gigabytes respectively. The nova 4 supports Quick Charge, which should fully recharge the 3.750 milliampere hour battery within two hours. The version with a 48-megapixel camera will cost the equivalent of around 437 euros, while the configuration with a 20-megapixel camera will cost around 399 euros. It is currently unclear when the Huawei nova 4 will be available in European stores.
