Libratone AIR Color are here: Cheaper alternative to the AIR+
After our test to the Libratone AIR+ the manufacturer has now released the Libratone AIR Color. These are cheaper than the AIR+ and come in multiple colors. All details.
As the name of the new in-ear headphones suggests, they come in several bright colors. More precisely, you have the choice between white, pink and blue. Otherwise, there are no innovations waiting for you in terms of general appearance, everything looks the same as with the somewhat older AIR+.
The only change is that Libratone only went for a high-gloss look when it came to the materials, while with the older one Product everything is matt. In addition, the AIR Color are water and dust-repellent according to IP54.
Battery and sound: You have to make compromises here
The battery lasts another 24 hours on one charge, with the plugs having to be put back in the case after six hours. With this they can then be recharged three times, which corresponds to an additional running time of 18 hours. Unfortunately, this is only possible with a cable, and the manufacturer does not implement wireless charging.
Another thing missing is intelligent noise cancellation, also called CityMix by Libratone. This means that one is solely dependent on passive suppression. The drivers are unchanged, and Bluetooth 5.2 with aptX is available for audio transmission. SBC was jettisoned.
On ProOn the product side, there is also talk of TrueWirelessTM Mirroring from Qualcomm. This technology is designed to provide a faster and more stable connection to a low-latency playback device.
