Many have been asking for MacBook upgrades for some time now Pros from 2017. Apparently Apple has listened to its customers, because this week the MacBook Pros presented for 2018.

With today's MacBooks the Proseries, which would be the 13-inch model and the 15-inch model, optically nothing has changed compared to the previous year. The device still consists of an aluminum unibody case and is available in space gray or silver. On the sides you can still find the USB-C ports and the Apple logo hasn't started to glow again this year. In general, no innovations should be expected here for the next few years.

Displays

The displays of both devices are again 13 inches and 15 inches and have a resolution of 2560 × 1600 on the small device and 2880 × 1800 on the large device.
What is new, however, is that the screens now support Apple's TrueTone technology. This means that the color temperature of the image is now adjusted to the surroundings. This works thanks to the brightness sensor above the displays.

Power and performance

A major criticism for many was that the Pro-Models from 2017 still no Intel Proeighth generation cessors. Now that's no longer the case with the new MacBooks.
With the 13-inch MacBook you can now choose between a Core i5 and Core i7 with four cores. The graphics card is the Intel Iris Plus 655 in both cases.
In the MacBook Pro Depending on your choice, either a Core i15 or a Core i7 works with the 9-inch display. No matter which of the two Processors you decide, there are always six cores at your side. When it comes to the graphics unit, we're talking about the AMD Radon Pro with 4GB video memory.

With the 13-inch MacBook you get up to 2TB of SSD storage, the RAM can be up to 16GB in size. In general, this device is 50% faster compared to the previous year's model.
The SSD storage in the 15 - inch notebook from Apple can be up to 4TB in size, the size of the RAM reaches up to 32GB. This device has become an incredible 70% faster than its predecessor.

More innovations

Since the release of the first MacBooks with butterfly keyboards, people have heard that they break or jam very easily. That's why Apple with the MacBook Pros revised the keyboard for 2018. There is now a small silicone skin under each key, which should prevent the keys from breaking faster or starting to stick. This silicone layer also allows for quieter typing.

In addition, the T2 security chip has now been installed by Apple itself. Among other things, this makes it possible to start Siri with the phrase “Hey Siri!”.

Prices and availability

The new Pro2018 models are available now from Apple. The 13-inch notebook is available from €1999, the best configuration costs €4349. The price of the 15-inch MacBook starts at €2799 and goes up to an insane €7959.
