Everyone is currently talking about the corona virus and some have already suspected that it will affect MWC 2020. This is how it should happen, the organizers have canceled this.

The GSMA, the organizers of the upcoming MWC 2020, have announced in their newsroom that the fair cannot take place this year. The reason for this is the fear that the corona virus could break out in the host city of Barcelona, as many exhibiting companies are arriving from China. For this reason, many manufacturers have already announced that they will not come. At the GSMA, everything is done to ensure that the event can take place again next year.

But what happens now with all the small manufacturer events? As Android Authority reports that at least one “larger company” is planning to keep the planned appointment outside of the MWC site. But even that is still not really certain. We haven't heard from companies like Huawei about this yet.

We will keep you up to date and report when there is new information on the topic!
