Nvidia Shield TV: New model appeared
The first Nvidia Shield TV was well received, but hasn't been upgraded for a while. That could change soon, a new model appeared in the Play Developer Console.
A new Nvidia Shield TV with the code name “mdarcy” appears in the Google Play Developer Console. Even if it looks like the current Shield TV in the picture, there are some changes inside the streaming box with a focus on gaming. The first thing you notice is that Google lists support for the Android Pie SDK (in the Android TV edition). This means that the box comes from the factory with the latest version of the operating system.
The ProThe processor is still the Tegra X1 T210 from Nvidia itself, although this is possibly still a placeholder for a newer and more powerful chip. The RAM is four gigabytes. Furthermore, a new remote control and a new controller are said to be in the works – but there are no concrete indications of this yet. There is also no information about a launch in this documentation. Here we have to wait and see.
