OnePlus will launch their new line of smartphones in late March. As has now been leaked, the OnePlus 9 Pro Model now get a new display.

We already have leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 9 series TechnikNews berichtet. The Promodel will be the next flagship from the Chinese manufacturer OnePlus and will get a new display for this year. This comes from a Twitter post from the well-known OnePlus insider, “Max jambor“, which has already been published in the past specifications for new OnePlus Proucts published very precisely in advance.

The device will therefore use a WQHD + 120Hz LTPO display, which is slightly curved on the sides. LTPO is a technology with which the display adjusts its refresh rate itself. So if it can display 120Hz, then it will. When it is not needed, the display is clocked down to less Hertz. This should also help the 4.500 mAh battery in particular.

LTPO has absolutely nothing to do with frame rate.

Thomas Vella

Unfortunately it is really wrong. Would be great if you could correct that.

Christopher Strasser

LTPO is the successor to LTPS and refers to the backplane of the panel, i.e. the basis of the pixels. The new technology saves energy. As I said, this has nothing to do with the refresh rate. Adaptive refresh rate is a matter of the display controller and is possible with all current display technologies - whether LCD or OLED. A little research never hurts. ?
