OPPO Find X5 Pro: First renders show unusual camera design

Things have been very quiet about the upcoming OPPO flagship for 2022 so far, but that has now changed, as the well-known and always reputable leaker OnLeaks yesterday made the first renders of the supposed OPPO Find X5 Pro available.

According to current rumors, the Chinese manufacturer's new flagship will actually be called X5 Pro and not X4 Pro, because the number 4 is an unlucky number in China.

Design and first technical data

First of all, it is important to mention that the renders published by OnLeaks are not official press images from OPPO, but self-created renders based on prototypes.

If we first take a closer look at the front, there are almost no differences to the predecessor, the X3 Pro. There will again be a punch hole for the front camera in the left corner, the panel will be slightly rounded on both sides and the edges around the screen look thin in the pictures. The only slight difference to the predecessor is the shape, as the X5 Pro looks a little more angular.

There are hardly any changes to the back either. OPPO is said to have installed three sensors in the top left, one less than in the predecessor. The microscope camera will probably be omitted. The camera bump is slightly asymmetrical, however, which is not the case with the X3 Pro.

The first specifications for the new OPPO Find X5 Pro are also known. The 6,78-inch OLED display is only supposed to have a resolution of FHD+, which would be a step backwards compared to QHD+ on the predecessor. In addition, the screen is supposed to support a smooth refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which means that 120 individual images can be displayed per second. OPPO is probably using the well-known LTPO technology again, but there is no concrete information on this yet.

Under the hood is a MediaTek 9.000, which is supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The battery should be a proud 5.000 mAh and apparently nothing should change in the resolutions of the cameras. So it stays at 50 + 50 + 13 megapixels.

Unfortunately, it is not yet known when exactly the OPPO Find X5 Pro will be presented.
