Rooting the Galaxy S6 destroys functions
Caution should be exercised when considering the new models from Samsung, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge want to root. During the process, important security functions such as Samsung Knox are deactivated or destroyed. The Samsung Pay payment function can also no longer be used.
Many users root their smartphone in order to delete pointless apps or simply want full access to their mobile phones themselves. However, Samsung now wants to take a step and no longer wants many users to root its smartphone, as the manufacturers then lose full access to the smartphone.
Rooting will irrevocably disable Samsung Pay and Samsung Knox
When you root your S6 and S6 Edge, some security functions such as Samsung Knox and the Samsung Pay payment function are deactivated. During the rooting process, an interface "burns through" in the smartphone itself, which makes the functions unusable. More precisely, a so-called eFUSE chip in the mobile phone burns out, marking it as unsafe. Even if you reinstall the original software, the functions remain permanently deactivated. Samsung Pay is currently not in use, but we should still be able to do so this year.
So think twice about whether you really want to root your smartphone.
