Samsung presented its latest innovations at IFA 2024 in Berlin. The focus was on the further development of artificial intelligence and the presentation of new products such as the "Bespoke AI Laundry Combo", two "The Premiere" projectors and a limited edition of the "Samsung Music Frame" in collaboration with Universal Pictures.

In its keynote speech, Samsung presented its vision of "AI For All," which shows how AI can make life easier. Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Europe, explained that AI is designed to help simplify users' everyday lives by giving them more time for the important things in life. With the growing integration of AI features into its devices, from smartphones to home appliances, Samsung expects to have around 2024 million AI-enabled Galaxy devices in use by the end of 200.

Energy efficiency thanks to AI

Another focus of Samsung's trade fair appearance was the topic of energy efficiency. The new "Bespoke" refrigerators, for example, are equipped with an AI Inverter Compressor. This reduces energy consumption through precise temperature regulation.

Especially in the area of ​​laundry care, Samsung introduced another solution with the launch of the "Bespoke AI Laundry Combo" in Europe. This combination of washing machine and dryer saves space and offers an energy-efficient washing and drying process in one go. Thanks to the integrated heat pump, clothes are dried gently and efficiently at low temperatures.

AI and energy saving in the SmartThings ecosystem

The SmartThings ecosystem remains a central part of Samsung's efforts to reduce energy consumption. The AI ​​Energy Mode in SmartThings Energy enables savings of up to 70% on certain devices. Features like SmartThings Away Mode allow devices to turn off automatically. This can happen when no one is in the room, further reducing energy consumption.
