Sennheiser IE 600 unveiled and first impressions
Sennheiser has just introduced new top in-ears, the Sennheiser IE 600. You can read here what they can do and what my first impression is.
The IE 600 can be used immediately as ProIdentify the IE family product. Namely, the general appearance was compared to the IE 300 or IE 900 not changed at all. So the IE 600 again have a bracket design with a gold-plated MMCX connector at the end. The in-ears are attached to these, which are now made of ZR01 zirconium, which should make them even more robust.
Of course, the sound performance was also improved again. On the one hand, the housing is used again to improve the sound, on the other hand, a 7 millimeter driver and Sennheiser's TrueResponse converter are used. With this system, the manufacturer wants to achieve that vocals in particular are very realistic.
The connection to a playback device is made via a cable. You have the choice between a 3,5 mm and a 4,4 mm connector. The option with a diameter of 2,5 millimeters was dropped.
Sennheiser IE 600: First impression
I've been able to use the Sennheiser IE 600 for about a week now. Now I want to report briefly on my first experiences.
The sound beats everything I've come across in the in-ear range so far, including the other IE models. Vocals in particular almost sound like someone is singing right next to you. With EDM songs, on the other hand, I found that in some places the one or the other detail that one would hear with headphones with an increased focus on lower tones disappears. A more detailed analysis and comparison will follow review report in a few weeks.
I still like the look, it is still very simple and timeless, so it can also be used for other in-ears of the IE series. Furthermore, the large selection of silicone and memory foam attachments gets a plus point from me. So there should be something for everyone for a good wearing comfort and a good passive shielding from outside noise.
Sennheiser IE 600: prices and availability
The Sennheiser IE 600 can be purchased from the end of the second quarter for 699 euros.
We would like to thank Sennheiser for providing the Sennheiser IE 600.
