This is how Snapchat ultimately envisions the card for many activities ... (Image: Snapchat)

A Snapchat map has been around for a few months now, with which you can see the location of your friends. Now there is the first major update for this map. From now on you should also be able to see the past activities of your friends in a feed.

The new Snapchat “Map Explore” has been around for some time in the USA. In addition to the snap card, this feature should now also be used to see things that have happened in the last 24 hours. In a feed below the map, shown in text boxes, you should be aware of the activities of your friends.

Activities about travel and more

We have already received the feature. To use this feature, however, you currently need the latest Snapchat beta and an English language setting (Update from March 31.03st: is no longer necessary), however, a little patience is currently required. We are distributing the function to other users step by step.

If a friend has taken the train in the last 24 hours, you can now see: "x took a train from x to x - 12 o'clock ago". A compass is displayed above the trigger symbol on the snap map as a symbol to open these activities. In order for these activities to be displayed, however, a location approval must be granted in the menu at the top right.

In the US, the feature also provides notifications of events in the vicinity. A notification should then be displayed if an event may take place there because several friends are gathering there. In the future, users should also be able to enter events themselves - for example, the Snap Map should in future not only be a display of the location of his friends, but also offer an event calendar.
