Sony Xperia 5 III: Another handy high-end smartphone

On April 14th, the Japanese manufacturer presented the Sony Xperia 5 III, a new, handy high-end smartphone. The compact form factor is without question one of the highlights. Those who can't do anything with large smartphones should get their money's worth here.
Compared to its predecessor, the Xperia 5 II, Sony has installed a significantly larger battery, among other things, without significantly changing the compact form factor of its predecessor. There is also a variable telephoto lens that has never been found on any other smartphone.
Sony Xperia 5 III: Technical Specifications
With dimensions of 157 x 68 x 8,2 millimeters, the new 5 III is currently one of the handiest high-end smartphones on the market. It is relatively long, but not as wide as other devices. If we look at the front, it quickly becomes clear that Sony has remained true to itself with the new Xperia 5 III. You still do without a recess in the display. Instead, the front camera is located in a long, thick border above the screen.
The elongated OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio measures 6,1 inches and has a pleasantly sharp resolution of 2.520 x 1.080 pixels. The panel can also display content at up to 120 Hertz. The in-house user interface, based on Android 11, is used as software. Inside is the current laceproprocessor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888. It has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, the procan easily be expanded via a micro SD card. The built-in battery has a capacity of 4.500 mAh, which is a lot for the compact size of the smartphone. There are also stereo speakers and it is IP68 protected against the ingress of water and dust.
On the back you can see three vertically arranged cameras, each with a resolution of 12 megapixels. In addition to a main and ultra wide-angle camera, a telephoto lens is used, which enables both a 70 millimeter and a 105 millimeter focal length. This makes it the first smartphone with a variable telephoto lens. There is also an auto focus on board. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels.
The Sony Xperia 5 III will probably be offered in black, pink and green in summer. Unfortunately, more detailed information on the market launch and the price is not yet available.
