Stranger Things 4 announced: First teaser shows big news

Netflix has landed a huge hit with its mystery series "Stranger Things" and Stranger Things 3 broke one record after another. The series from the "Duffer Brothers" is now being expanded to include a fourth season. The first teaser already reveals a big change.
For some time now, fans have been puzzling over a tweet that the official Stranger Things account posted on Twitter:

Many fans were already sure that the fourth season would be announced soon. You should be right. Recently, Netflix posted a video on its YouTube channels and Twitter announcing the fourth season of the series. The video shows the typical Stranger Things intro, which then changes from a black background to a mystical forest. In the background is a sign from "Hawkins", the main town in the series. A slightly older clock can also be seen and heard. Apparently the watch has something to do with it, because the "Stranger Things" Twitter account has this watch as well Profile Image .
Several big announcements
But after the intro came a big announcement. "We have left Hawkins". With these words the teaser for Stranger Things 4 ends. So Hawkins will no longer be the main location of the fourth season of Stranger Things. At the same time, Netflix announced that it had signed a deal with the Duffer Brothers. In addition to Stranger Things, these will be exclusive to Netflix for the next few years proinduce.

When is the new season coming?
This is not yet known. The Duffer Brothers are already very far with the scripts. In an interview with the magazine "Entertainment Weekly“Said the brothers that they already know the big events and that there are still more details to be asked.
Also, the next season would be "different" (again). However, this interview was conducted three months ago. So we assume that the scripts are partially or completely finished and that soon the Proproduction can begin. This would mean that the next season would probably start at the end of 2020 or 2021 at the latest.
