Vodafone CallYa has access to 5G network: prepaid with over 600Mbit / s

The Vodafone CallYa tariffs are probably the most popular entry-level and youth tariffs on the German mobile communications market. For the use of Vodafone's 5G network, however, these are actually still required not provided. The 5G expert Tobske but has proven the opposite.

According to Tobske, use should be possible without any detours through a 5G-capable smartphone and any CallYa tariff. Vodafone doesn't seem to limit the maximum speed either. Because normally the CallYa tariffs should only allow speeds of up to 500 Mbit / s. His speed test showed that 614 Mbit / s was also possible in the 5G network.

With a prepaid card into the 5G network?

The first speed test was done with the "CallYa Start" that is no longer commercially available. He then ordered a CallYa card independent of him and booked the "Day Flat" with 10 GB for €5 pro Day. Unrestricted use of the 5G network is also possible with this tariff. 5G allows customers to surf the web with almost no latency and, for example, download films within seconds at faster speeds.

Vodafone CallYa tariffs

Vodafone does not plan to use its CallYa tariffs in the 5G network.

This does not seem to be intended by Vodafone, which is why this “gap” can be closed every day. The 5G network has also been very poorly developed so far, because it is only available in certain cities in metropolitan areas. Tobske also filmed a "evidence video" on his YouTube channel. According to Vodafone, the tariffs are not activated for 5G, but this refutes the video above.
