Apple revolutionized the smartwatch market with the Apple Watch and watchOS. Now watchOS 7 has been presented with new features.

The changes start with the watchface. Developers can now provide completely their own clock faces and complications. Putting these together is now easier too. Apple has revised the user interface for this.

Face sharing

Sharing watch faces is apparently in high demand. Apple heard the feedback and responded. It is now possible to share your watch face with other users via various channels.

Cards

The map app on the watch supports the navigation function for cyclists. In addition to turn-by-turn directions, the app can now suggest places of interest, such as bike shops.

Workouts

The new watchOS version also brings new types of workouts with you. So there is now the possibility to track dancing (such as hip-hop) or to do special body workouts. Using the integrated sensors and the heart rate monitor, you want to be able to provide exact calorie calculations here.

Sleep record

Apple has come up with something of its own for the new sleep recording. In addition to a simple recording, the clock should show when it is best to go to bed and relax. The new "wind down" feature helps. This is particularly helpful in putting your own smartphone to one side. There is also an alarm function, followed by its own pop-up with information that could be relevant after getting up.

Wash your hands

At times like these, it's especially important to wash your hands. It is often not so easy to adhere to the recommended 30 seconds. The Apple Watch with watchOS 7 should now help and show how long you still have to wash your hands.
