WhatsApp currently appears to be down. Several users have reported on Twitter, among other places, that the messenger is not working properly. WhatsApp has not yet commented on the problem.

Article posted at 12:42 pm: The messenger had to deal with disruptions a few weeks ago at New Year. Now WhatsApp seems to be affected again – but this time with a worldwide disruption. Users in the USA and Europe are also complaining about problems with WhatsApp. For a few minutes now, communication with media via WhatsApp has been completely at a standstill. With the current fault in WhatsApp, the servers are not accessible across the board. Sending and receiving pictures, videos, and voice messages is not possible. It is not known why this is. It's good that it's fixed again. It's really difficult without WhatsApp.
