Windows 10 Mobile: Microsoft is finally discontinuing support
A long time ago it became clear that Windows 10 Mobile would not be around for long. Microsoft will now completely discontinue support for the operating system.
Microsoft has not been working on feature updates for Windows 10 Mobile for almost a year. Now the company from Redmont announces on the support page of the operating system that the support for this is now completely discontinued. That writes Turn On relating to an article by Thurrot. From December 10, 2019, the mobile OS from Microsoft will be over. Devices running Windows 10 Mobile Version 1703 will no longer be supported as of June 11th.
Microsoft recommends switching to Android or iOS
After these date limits, some features will even stop working. Automatic and manual backups of the data on the smartphone will be deactivated from March 2020. But what now? On the support page mentioned above, Microsoft recommends considering switching to the competing operating systems Android and iOS. At least there are also Microsoft apps like Word, OneDrive, OneNote or Outlook, which should make the move a little easier.
