Windows 11: Top 5 New Features (Version 21996)
Windows 11 will be presented by Microsoft on June 24.6th. TechnikNews.NET is already a leaked pre-release version of the operating system and I have recorded my top 5 innovations (from this version) in a video.
Windows 11: New icons
Windows 11 will include new icons for Microsoft apps. Although this is not a "great new feature", it is refreshing after almost 6 years of Windows 10.
New taskbar
The taskbar was hotly debated on social networks. Some love them, some hate them. In my video I also showed that this can be set to "left" again. So it's an optional innovation.
Live widgets
I really like the Windows 11 live widgets. These can be called up using an icon or a swiping gesture (by touch). The widgets show the weather, news or soccer results. Unfortunately, they cannot be placed on the desktop yet.
With version 11, the start menu has also received some new features. It is applied to the shell of Windows 10X which was discontinued earlier this year (before it was ever published). Apps are sorted in a small overview or in a complete alphabetical order.
Task View
Probably the coolest new feature is “Task/Split View”. This allows with just a few clicks Proto sort programs into a split view. In Windows 10 this was only cumbersome. It can be set in a variety of ways.
