What is the Igloohome Smart Padlock?
The Smart Padlock can hardly be distinguished from a conventional lock. However, it does offer a really useful, hybrid solution. The user can secure the lock with the smartphone or, as is well known, with the PIN. But it offers a lot more functions than you might think at first glance.
Minimal scope of delivery
There's not much in the lock's packaging - just the bare essentials. Only a battery, an Allen screwdriver and an instruction manual are included here. The castle itself is of course also included.

The scope
At first glance, the Smart Padlock is extremely stable and can be compared to a conventional lock. It can be unlocked with a conventional PIN or via smartphone. Everything is controlled via the manufacturer's app. However, if you want to control the lock without a smartphone, you can also enter the PIN manually on the keypad.
Under no circumstances should the Smart Padlock be used for travel with a suitcase or the like. It is more useful to seal off a garage or server room. Due to the width of the hook on the lock, it is impossible to lock a backpack or suitcase with it.
Control via smartphone
Here you can easily choose from the various security options how you want to secure your Smart Padlock. It is also possible to set several PINs. Among other things, you can even set a code via the app for a certain time, which then expires after a certain time after opening the lock.
In addition, you can even link your Airbnb account with a guest, who is then granted access sporadically.

Haptics and processing
The Smart Padlock is solidly processed and looks very high quality. Due to its robust workmanship, the padlock is accordingly safe from vandalism and the like.
A gadget for every place?
With its relatively bulky housing, the Smart Padlock is suitable for outdoors, in the gym near the locker or for similar lockable things. If you would like to hang the castle on your backpack for a holiday trip, you will unfortunately be disappointed with the gadget.
My personal conclusion
I was enthusiastic about the technology and implementation of the various options for securing the padlocks. Unfortunately, my intended use was more of a backpack or suitcase than a locker or an outdoor area. Therefore, I can recommend the lock more for tech fans who Product would like to use stationary.
