And do you plan to buy a power bank in the future? Let me know.

Anyone looking for Pokémon or using their smartphone intensively will quickly run out of battery. In this case, a large capacity power bank can come in very handy. One of them is the Anker PowerCore 20100 - we have tested it extensively for you.

The most popular gadgets on the market are currently external batteries. More and more users are turning to the power bank because smartphones offer us users more and more power and therefore need more and more batteries. Because: the battery of today's smartphones with a battery of 3000 mAh only lasts about 2 hours with intensive use (gaming, streaming, etc.). In the Pokémon GO example, GPS is also constantly activated, a constant data connection is required and the display is always on. I was able to extensively test the Anker PowerCore with 20100 mAh - here is my test report.

Anker PowerCore 20100 review: processing & design

The PowerCore 20100 with the dimensions 16,6 x 5,8 x 2,2 centimeters is currently the smallest 20100 mAh power bank on the market. With a weight of 355g it can be easily carried in a backpack. On the top, 4 LEDs show the current charge level of the external battery. This can be called up by pressing the very well-built button. Anker's PowerCore looks very valuable and there are no sharp edges.

Anker PowerCore 20100 review: performance

My OnePlus 3 was fully charged after a little over 1 hour review. According to Anker, an iPhone 6S can be charged seven times, the S6 six times and the S7 five times. I was able to charge my OnePlus 3 around 5 times, then the external battery had to be recharged. For this purpose, with an input of 5V, the supplied micro USB cable and optionally available socket charger* Approximately 10-11 hours of patience are required. While the smartphone was charging, the power bank got a bit warm, but it was by no means annoying.

Anker PowerCore 20100 review: Features

Anker's external battery charges at speeds up to 2.4A pro Port. Two smartphones can be charged at the same time - so you can also help a friend in the "electricity emergency". Thanks to the "PowerIQ" fast charging technology and in combination with the so-called "VoltageBoost", connected smartphones are recognized by this technology and recharged as quickly as possible. The "Plug and Charge" function also worked excellently review. As soon as I plugged in my smartphone, it started charging immediately.

Anker PowerCore 20100 review: conclusion

The PowerCore 20100 from Anker is a real powerhouse. The fast charging of the devices convinced us review. With its 20100 mAh, the external battery is currently the most compact and lightest on the market. There was also nothing to complain about in terms of workmanship - everything was firmly in place and there were no sharp edges. With its price of 40 euros on Amazon* a real bargain for intensive users and passionate Pokémon hunters.

Anker PowerCore 20100 review: alternative

If the Anker battery pack with a capacity of 20100 mAh is too big, you can also choose the smaller alternative, the PowerCore 5000. This model was also able to convince us very much and is of high quality. My OnePlus 3 could be charged almost twice with this power bank. You have to do without the second USB port, but with its compact dimensions of 10,8 x 3,3 x 3,3 cm it fits in your pocket. This external battery pack also supports the “PowerIQ” fast charging technology from Anker. A really recommendable power bank, only that 15 euros on Amazon* costs.

Hello
I calculated the power bank with my power bank capacity calculator and it came out a theoretical value of 11900.
I think the information is pretty important because most people think that the cell phone really has 20100 mAh available

James

Hello
Thank you
The 11900 mAh are only theoretical, I have just measured how much capacity my EasyAcc 20.000 mAh power bank has.
The real capacity of a power bank with 20000 mA is 13588 mAh.
My capacity calculator is accurate but not that accurate, you should definitely calculate + - 10% 🙂
