iPhone 14 Pro review: unboxing and first impression
In early September, Apple officially introduced four new iPhones, including the iPhone 14 Pro has arrived with us. Not much has changed compared to the previous model, but Apple has made a few subtle changes.
On the one hand Apple would like to have further improved the display and on the other hand the cameras and also with the Prozessor is said to have done a lot. The most obvious innovation, however, concerns the design on the front, because after five years Apple has finally said goodbye to the notch, at least on the ones Pro-iPhones. Instead, the "Dynamic Island" not only has a new look, but also a few new features. We will soon examine all of this in a detailed test report. In this article we will first unpack the smartphone and then report on our first impression after three days of use.
Unboxing
The sales box is also this year nice and compact and looks very high quality. However, it is now white and not black like the previous ones Pro-models.
There isn't really much to report about the unboxing, because Apple has delivered almost nothing since the iPhone 12. In addition to the iPhone itself, you will only find a Lightning cable and paper items in the scope of delivery. Neither a power adapter nor a case is included, which is really weak for the recommended retail price of 1.299 euros.
iPhone 14 Pro in the first impression
The iPhone 14 Pro has made an excellent impression so far. Although I'm not a big fan of the angular case, because it creates a slightly sharp-edged feeling in the hand, I'm very impressed with the looks. It feels exhaustedproIt is of high quality and, due to its relatively compact size, can still be operated quite well with one hand, which is unfortunately only the case with a few smartphones these days prois possible without any problems.
The display is just plain fun. Colors are reproduced extremely naturally and Apple definitely hasn't said too much about the brightnessprochen. Add to that a smooth refresh rate of 120 Hertz, which greatly improves the user experience. Along with the new Apple A16 Bionic Prozessor belongs to the iPhone 14 Pro among the fastest smartphones on the market.
So far, however, I have had rather mixed feelings about “Dynamic Island”. On the one hand, I feel that the front is much nicer now and the animations around the cut-out are extremely well done by Apple, but I can't really talk about the functions in everyday life profit. In my opinion it's (so far) more of a gimmick.
Those were my first impressions after a few days of everyday use. I can't report anything concrete about the battery life at the moment and I definitely have to take a closer look at the camera. All of this and much more will be covered in a few weeks in my test report and in a detailed camera comparison with the Vivo X80 Pro to examine in detail.
