The new Swift 7 is due to be released at the end of this year or the beginning of next year. It will keep its 14-inch touch display, but upgrade from Full HD to 4K. The current prototype has a 7th generation i10 processor - this will most likely be upgraded to the new 11th generation "Tiger Lake" processors when it goes on sale. The prototype is equipped with 2019 GB of RAM like the 16 version - as long as nothing special happens, it is unlikely to change.

The camera has now also found a new position. While she is at the 2019 version still runs above the keyboard, it should sit in the keyboard in the future model. Similar to the Huawei Matebook X Pro. The notebook will again have two USB-C interfaces. An SSD is again installed as storage, the size has not yet been finalized. As a graphics unit, an Intel HD-Graphics will certainly be used again, since no “real” graphics unit can be installed in this small housing.

Acer Swift 7 2020: Light as a feather

The "old" Swift 7 was very light for a notebook with its weight of 890 grams. The 2020/21 version should go one better. The new notebook should weigh between 700 and 800 grams and it should also be thin. That would make it one of the lightest and thinnest on the market again.

The battery should still last between 12 and 13 hours. In addition, the laptop should support "fast charging", which was one of the criticisms of the 2019 version. We don't yet have any details on the price of the notebook, but we are again assuming 2000 euros as with the 2019 version.

Acer seems to have recognized the biggest criticisms of the 2019 version and improved them: A new camera position, fast charging, even lighter and more power.
